Beginning Teacher Assistance Program (BTAP)

This program is designed to provide support and strategies for teachers in their first years of teaching and satisfies Missouri’s certification requirements. This opportunity provides just-in-time learning to assist teachers in developing research-based classroom management and lesson planning, building relationships, implementing fundamental instructional strategies, and understanding the profession. In addition, a network of support and collegiality will be created among the teachers as they meet throughout this year-long program. In addition, Year 1 teachers meet with their mentors for two sessions and with their mentors and/or school administrators for two sessions.
