Are you finding it challenging, sometimes frustrating, when having to reteach students things they should have learned earlier in the year or even last year? Benjamin Franklin once said, “Tell me and I forget, teach me and I remember. involve me and I learn.”  This workshop is about strategies to involve students so they are in a position to truly learn the content instead of just getting answers.  From simple ways to get students talking about what they are learning to having them model ideas with manipulatives, students will be involved from the beginning of class to the end. When students are truly involved and engaged in the learning, as Franklin suggests, then they are more likely to develop a deeper, long-term understanding.
