This workshop is specifically designed for teachers of grades 3-6, with the goal of helping you establish a solid foundation for your students’ future mathematical learning. We will explore how fraction concepts are progressively developed across grade-level standards, strategies that promote a more comprehensive understanding of fractions, and how to leverage students’ existing knowledge to build confidence and mastery. We will also discuss practical classroom strategies—including the use of manipulatives—to deepen student understanding and engagement.
